Breakdown of Final Outcome

1) I created a plain black background with the shape tool
2) I used the pen tool to make a white spotlight shape then I added a gradient fill and then I used the radial blur effect
3) I made the main title using the paint brush and then I used the radial blur effect
4) I made the girl silhouette by tracing over a sketch with the pencil tool
5) I used the pencil to make grass along the bottom to neaten it
6) I used the pencil to draw on the tree branches around the edges
7) I copied and pasted the trees and then made the colour lighter and changed the transparency and then placed them behind the original trees to create a shadow effect

Development

I developed it by playing around with the spotlight by adding a gradient in the top image and adding grass at the bottom to neaten it up.

I played around with the backgrounds by adding a gradient in number 1, black in number 2 and grey in number 3.

Development with colour

In this one I added a red background and removed the spotlight.

In the first one I added a circular gradient, and in the send one a spotlight gradient coming from the top.

Development on Ilustrator

First I made a gradient going from the top and then another going across the bottom to create a space for the orphan to stand, then I made the orphan silhouette by using the pencil tool to trace a sketch.

Then I added the text which was made using the paint brush tool and then I used a radial blur effect on it.

Font Development on Illustrator

First I made the font using the paint brush tool. In the second image I used a gaussian blur effect, in the third a radial blur. In the end I went with the radial blur.
